Mr Possum - Cross-Stitch
After five long months of nights watching Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Mentalist, New Girl and House Of Cards, I've finally finished my first cross-stitch piece for 2014!
While I may have saved myself from additional stitching pain (by converting the thread chart from Anchor to DMC - thus reducing the total number of stitching colours), there were some sections of stitching (like the possum's tail!) that really frustrated me at times!!
Will post more pics once Mr Possum returns from the framing shop.

Perching Cockatoo: He's so pretty!!
I picked him up from the Framer's yesterday. He's a gorgeous addition to the ever-growing cross stitch collection I have!

Cross Stitch: Perching Cockatoo
I've had a little bit more time up my sleeves lately... so here's my latest finished cross-stitch work. I think there's 6 or so bird designs in this cross-stitch collection, but I think I'll stop at 1. Definitely much easier to stitch on 14 count Aida cloth!!

Giraffes at Rest - Complete!
I've been waiting a few weeks to post up my finished efforts of the Giraffes at Rest piece.
I also got it professionally stretched and framed. (I've just picked it up today!)
Of course I've been working on another cross-stitch project in the meantime! I'll post up pics soon.

Giraffes at Rest - #4
Today marks 8 week's worth of work on the "Giraffes at Rest" piece.
It doesn't look like I've achieved much... however, my fingers would have to disagree! (I've managed to receive a couple of painful pin injuries thanks to the closeness of the stitches I've been needing to do...)
This week I've finished the fill of yellow thread in the top left hand corner. I'm also happy that the first complete line of the picture's border has also been stitched.
I must admit that I'm starting to get a bit bored though... so I'm hoping week 9 is a little less repetitive (as I'm aiming to finish the border - which involves both full and half stitches, just to keep me on my toes!).

Giraffes at Rest... update #3
It's been a bit over a week since my last post. This stitching project has taken a bit of a backseat for a couple of days while rest and recouperation were higher priorities for me...
However, progress has still occurred!
